are crickets. They are loud, and one goes "wa wa wa" and the other one says "wa wa wa" and they talk or argue all night. What might they be? Katydids?

Naw, Blazn, they sound just like a nagging wife "wa wa wa" but I don't have a wife nagging me for a Diet Coke or my credit card

They might be Katydids, or they might be some other kind of Tree Cricket. Depends where you are. I think you can rule out frogs or cicadas, though. It's pretty late in the year for tree frogs to be calling (they're usually Spring and early Summer breeders) and cicadas are daytime singers, although you might possibly hear one singing very late in the evening if it's a hot night. Their sound is very different from what you described, though.

Are you sure its a bug of the insect kind and not some other bug? Feed it some fruit it may deaden the noise or some beer it may start singing!
