the body is about the size of a dime, maybe smaller; really long legs; somewhat hairy; light brown in color; doesn't spin a web. i've looked all over the internet, but can't find a spider like this anywhere. i live in southern arizona, and they are everywhere outside, but they only come out at night and they keep getting in the house.

most likely a wolf-spider, going from what info you've provided, pretty broad strokes. About that size, long legged. They can run fast, and chase down their prey. The females carry the egg sack/young with them. might see if these guys look similar at all:

They can be varied in color: striped to solid brown/black, there are over 1,500 different sub-species of these guys, good place to start.

Being a little bit involved (Yellow and Black is traditionally natures caution signal) I have performed a quantity of searches... After trawling the web it looks it probably be a sort of Argiope (black and yellow lawn spider) nevertheless that's a US spider and I am residing within the UK... Further browsing shows their is a 'Wasp Spider' that is discovered in Contienial Europe and normally the South Coast of England... Which remains to be a thriller as I are living within the Midlands(England - UK) that is miles from the any coast allow handiest the South Coast.... Should I be charging humans to come back and seek advice from my Garden to peer this infrequent web page or is there a further sort of spider out right here? They aren't damaging to individuals are they I believe??? - my mum could be very anxiouis!!! Damon

Hard to tell; this time of year a variety of spiders are more commonly noticed in houses. Could well be some sort of wolf spider. There are other types of wandering hunters, though, so a photo if you could would be very helpful.
