I noticed he has a turtle face. He swims ALL the time. I saw those Animorphs reference books at the mall and I'm thinking he might be ONE! Could he seriously be a turtle? I mean I've never seen him with his shirt off so I can't tell if he has a shell but if he was one of these Animporh people/animals would he?? I know this sounds weird but the idea of neighbor morphing into a turtle makes me nervous. I have noticed the weeds NEVER grow on that side of my yard. Turtles eat stuff like that don;t they? Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. THANKS!

If it's in a reference book and a medical dictionary it sounds pretty legit to me.

When animals anthropomorphize, they often lose some of the defining characteristics they had in their natural state. It would not be unusual for a turtle man to be lacking a protective shell - in fact, I'd bet most turtle men don't have one. There are signs though that you should look for:
- Are your neighbor's movements, to include walking, particularly slow?
- If your neighbor owns a pick-up truck, has he purchased on of those fiberglases "shells" to cover the truck's bed?
- Do you always see him wearing a backpack?
- Is your neighbor green?
These are just a few of the obvious signs. Wikipedia has a whole checklist you can use to see if you think someone you know has genetically mutated from animal origins. Print out the turtle list and get your binoculars ready.
If it turns out that your neighbor doesn't display the characteristics listed above or on Wikipedia, there is also the distinct possibility he might be my Grandmother. She looks a lot like a turtle too.

Unless he's one of those nasty snapping turtles, you should be all right. Do keep in mind that in many locations, turtles are protected species and beating them to death with a shovel may result in a fine, imprisonment, or both.

Looks like your neighbor is a turtle; there's nothing you can really do, but I reckon that he definitely won't try to hurt you if he hasn't been giving you dirty looks lately or anything. :-)
