For example, in class when kids are disecting frogs, why do each of them have to disect a single frog? Why can`t the teacher just disect one frog in front of the class on a projector or something. Don`t you think it would be easier, less smelly, gross & better for the animals?

What is it that allows some spiders to move along surfaces where most other creatures would fall because of gravity? Do they produce sticky substances through their legs? Is there some form of suction device? Or do they have an anti-gravitational ability? Close-up pics or links to sites with some scientific explanations would help solve my inquisitive mind.

There is a room, 20 feet long. The room is 10 feet wide and 10 feet high. On one end of the room is a spider one foot from the bottom equally spaced (5 feet) from each side. On the other end of the room is a fly. He is one foot from the top equally spaced (5 feet) from each side. The question is: What is the shortest difference that the spider has to travel to eat the fly? Hint: it is a lot less than 30 feet. The spider does not hop or jump .. he walks as normal.

Please take this seriously, even though this seems trivial.

If you see a drowning insect or spider, is it better to save them, end their misery, or let nature take its course?

If you're an expert on insects, or have some background info, include that, too. Thanks.
