They see very well, they are shaped larger . I give a horse a carrot bout every day and it sees me from far away coming and starts to run to me.
Guess they see better than humans

they have the ability to see at night 10x better, they can see behind them to the shoulders but they cannot see infront of them for a few degrees. they have the same reflective plates in their eyes as cats. you can find more info @ encarta
