what do you think about the gulf of mexico system tonight, as far as severe wx goes? do you think this system will spawn severe weather and tornadoes, or does it look more like a steady, drenching rain system? thanks in advance...

p.s. i'm in southeast alabama

warming is overstated, but one thing is for sure the earth isn't getting any cooler. The weather is getting stranger and more unpredictable every year. Is this an aberration or a long term trend? I knew I would get a question in there somewhere.

How come there is such a big difference between the temperature of the desert during the day and during the night? One of my friends says it has something to do with the clouds, they absorb light and radiation or something, but I didn't really understand her explanation.

Can someone answer, please?

I mean, if a tornado can shake/tip over/pick up a truck or something...... how is someone who weighs just over 100 pounds - going to be safer?

And what if there are no ditches?

It would pick me up in a second. Whereas a car may just shake a little?!

And what if there are no ditches?
