I mean isnt it weird when 40% of the states is hotter in climate than Florida in July and August. it was only 88 for me yesterday when friends in New Jersey were telling me of 100+ temps they had. What sign are we looking for to tell us that it is ?

I love it when it rains and thunders outside. Something about it makes me feel comfortable and I fall asleep easier. When winter arrives and it gets really cold I'm more calm and relaxed. But now that it's summer everything seems so hetic and I'm stressed out more, everything just seems so rushed, I guess because college is starting back soon.

Opps! I'm rambling...Anyone else ever notice that they feel more comfortable or their mood changes somewhat with the weather?

Living in Florida, it seemed whenever I was in a breezeway, the temperature dropped considerably and I was much cooler.

All I remember it was extremely hot the day before it was thunderstormy and stuff and alot of people had power outages. The bad weather had happened early morning.

Just curious if anyone knows how much variation there is in daylight along the equator from "Winter" to "Summer." I know the closer to the poles you go, the greater difference in sunlight between winter and summer days and, in extreme locations, the sun doesn't "rise" or "set" for long periods depending on the season. What about at the equator? Does every day get about the same amount of daylight? How much difference is there in daylight from the "shortest" to the "longest" day?
