It was all dark and cloudy and rainy today, and I realized it made me feel sort of depressed and sad, lonely, moody, and pessimistic. Does weather affect your mood too?

And the same way in which smells can have memories attached, or can evoke memories in a powerful way, does any weather affect you that way too? Like for me, when I think of windy autumn days with leaves blowing in the wind, and when I actually experience that weather in the fall, it makes me depressed because I once was going through a difficult time during that season, and whenever I think of it or feel that weather, it makes me sad.

In the last 100 years the average global temperature has increased by less than a single degree Celsius.

Between 1940 and about 1980, the average global temperature decreased.

The average global temperature today is NOT as high as it has ever been. The Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum event 55 million years ago caused sea temperatures to increase by up to 8 degrees Celsius, leading to mass extinctions.

Here are the data:

I have always loved being out in storms and have worried my mother sick. I love watching the Weather Channel specials on tornados and storms. Why?

Nobody can grow pretty flowers here in the midwest unless you water your plants two to three time a day. I am sure any kind of crops out there are all dead. The summers keep getting hotter and hotter. They say the ozone is closing up and that global warming should not happen. I think it's out of control, from what I've seen. I never saw a summer like this when I was a kid(and I'm not that old, now!) Have our efforts to save the planet backfired?

If YOU made such horrible errors YOU'D still be in prison! How do they keep a straight face? And yet there they are, every day, never even mentioning the huge colossal lie they told the day before. Never apologizing for ruining your weekend when they told you it would be beautiful when in fact it rained for two days straight. How do they get away with it? Can you believe they actually get paid for pulling a forecast out of a hat?

Is it me, or does it look like something fishy is goin on? A tropical depression was about to form in the tropics recently, then all of a sudden it broke up and became disorganized. Do you think the government would secretly test a method of destroying hurricanes? It would be worth it to them, after the damage done by Katrina and all... If someone has a scientific explaination as to why the depression broke up, you'll have answered my question too.

Right now, we are having a huge storm with rain, thunder, and lightening, courtesy of Mother Nature! I was outside on my balcony watching the sky lighting up, but I got scared and came back in! The lightening is really close and goes right across the sky! There is continuous rumbling and loud cracks of thunder!

I'm not a wuss, but I have a friend who has been hit by lightening twice and suvived!

All you can hear outside is people with their ooohs and aaaahs!
