I have always loved being out in storms and have worried my mother sick. I love watching the Weather Channel specials on tornados and storms. Why?

The beautiful spectacle of power is something that draws your mind to it. It's natural power, uncontrollable, and all that can be done to keep it from destroying you is to take cover... Coming close to it is a thrill.

There may be a lot of reasons. The thing you need to do is figure out what to do about your fascination.
First... make sure you respect storms. One reason they may facinate you is because of the awesome power storms have. Mother nature sure packs a punch on a daily basis around the globe. However, that power comes with a price, destruction. Since you watch the Weather Channel, you know the dangers. Go ahead and observe the storms but use common sense when doing so.
Second... science. Scientists have been trying to unravel the mystery of storms for years. Perhaps you are facinated with the scientific mystery.
Third... destruction. It may be the destruction and tempting fate that brings you into the storms. This is not good. It can end up clouding your judgement and taking risks that are not necessary.
Perhaps the next step for you is to plan a career dealing with storms. You could look at being a reporter, weather forcaster, working with the weather organizations, or being a storm chaser.
Whatever you do... keep enjoying the storms but make sure to give the respect they are due.

I am fascinated by a lot of weather. I do not like seeing people get hurt, or watching their homes destroyed, but I love storms. Seeing a tornado hit some abandoned building is amazing, just looking and thinking how long that building might have been there, and in seconds it's gone.

they are interested. Mother nature works in weird ways.. Go to school to investigate them. There is alot to the storm system. You would probaly be good at since you like them so much.
