The nearer the equator you are the quicker night falls and day breaks - why is this? My guess is that it's something to do with the curvature of the earth.

thunderstorming. ok i don't think thats a word. anyway i'm wondering if is should unplug my laptop so that it would turn over to battery mode just incase. would something bad happen if i kept in plugged in?

There are reports that if a hurricane were heading towards New York City, it would be necessary to evacuate millions of people very quickly. Why would it be necessary to evacuate at all? Perhaps it is necessary for those in wooden houses that live on coasts, but what about apartment buildings made out of concrete and/or steel. Wouldn't it be safer for those residents to remain in place at their homes?

I'd be willing to summer in one place and winter in another. I have realized that the summer solstice makes me sad because the days get shorter after that. So where could I move and have the longest days year round? I'm figuring I'll have to live in two places.

I have heard since I was a little girl , "dont take a bath in the storm, dont wash ur hands in the sotrm..stay away from water" Is this a myth, I tried to google it and find out but didn't really find an answer..Recently I told the Lady I work for I wouldn't bathe her daughter in a strom and she told me it was amyth later that week she said no tiff u are correct well i dont know if she really just wanted to make me seem right or what so i need your help Thanks
