Well, for 18 years, Al Gore has been saying that the end of the world is in ten.

Have you noticed that the Msm (mainstream media) has been trying to pin almost EVERYTHING on global warming? Katrina, west nile, triple E.

There was no global warming in the first place. The earth goes through cycles of hot and cold and, honestly, I do not think that a species as insignificant as we could hardly take credit for throwing these off.

Ok, There is no global warming. It's a big conspiracy. Drive your big SUV's and live the American lifestyle...waste,waste,waste.

Or, try looking at the facts. Maybe, actually, READ a BOOK?!? Lives led in ignorance will destroy our planet. Be part of the solution or part of the problem.

That article was written for ONE area, not the whole earth. Temperatures in different areas will fluctuate. Last year the Chicago area was experiencing a drought, which was an extreme circumstance. This helped to raise the average temperature in this area. This year, there is no drought.

Al Gore put it in his 'lockbox'.

Seriously, it's summer. People complain about global warming when it's warm. Then when it gets super cold during the winter, they also blame that on global warming!! Somehow I think the weather can never be good enough for these people.

I would go on about global warming, but I've just run out of steam on the subject for now (too many hours on Yahoo! Answers). Plus it's Saturday morning......

It's alive and kicking. Have you seen the movie "an inconvienent truth"? Scary stuff about global warming. Global warming has more to do with the over all temperature and the levels of the ice pack of glaciers. Regionally, fluctuations can happen.

The same thing that happened to the "ice age" that was predicted back in the 70's and 80's.

2.2 degrees cooler? I'm in BC and it's been hot and dry all summer. Last year, however, was cold and rainy.

You are looking at global warming on a year to year basis. Try looking at it by decades.
