The face of the moon looks like a skull to some and a rabbit to others. Has nothing to do with the weather. The phase of the moon also has nothing to do with the weather directly. Tidal forces can enhance the relative impact of a storm. If the storm arrives at the peak of the local fortnightly variation in the tide, the storm surge could be much higher. So the phase of the moon can indirectly change a storms impact. There is a atmospheric tide, but its strength is of minimal importance to storm systems, apart from the diurnal solar. That component of the tide is more due to solar heating than gravitation.

To everything I have learned, some studies of Wicca, natural sciences....the answer is yes. The moon's certain position does have a gravitational pull on the earth, so there is some evidence or chance that this pull can make nature do funny things, like storms. Hurricanes, however, have a certain thing that makes them grow big, and it is not the moon.

the face of the moon only control the tides arounf the world. A hurricane forms in warm tropical waters and becomes a low pressure area. all a hurrican is is a mass of "organized" thunderstorms. The longer a hurricane is over warm water and the barometric pressure is dropping lower and lower. the stronger it will become!.this is why hurricanes gather get larger while in the gulf of mexico its cause the water is so warm there. once it gets into cooler water of passes over land the hurricane will gradually disipate.
