yes they do....lightning doesn't know the difference between me, you, a tree or a animal!

Animals can get struck by lightning, but if your walking your dog, you have a higher chance of getting struck.

Yes, because there is no difference that lightning could do to possibly change it's direction. Except certain metals such as platinum and copper which are used for lightning rods.

No, because animals are friends with lightning but lightning hates humans and tries to kill as many as it can.

Giraffes get whacked by lighting so often. They hear the thunder and stick their heads up to see what the noise is and WHACK ! When dogs whiz on fire plugs during an electric storm, they get it right in the gonads!
