Anyone interested in storms, do you know the best place on the net to follow the progression of storms, typhoons, hurricanes etc. Sattelite shots on the site would be a good bonus! Many thanks..:-))

How much hotter can it make the earth?

2006-08-02 18:01:00 · 2 answers · asked by The King 2

Some argue out climate shift is a natural part of the earth's life process, while other argue it's a result of our emitting toxins such as carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

What do you think and what are you doing to help the planet?

every time i watch the weather channel, they show the jet stream blowing from west to east. Do storms, rain, and wind ever go from the east to west or from north to south? does the jest stream ever change direction?

These are the top ladies in my opinion.
1)Stephanie abrams
2)Hillary Andrews
3)Kelly Cass(although a lil chubby she still looks nice)
4)Heather Tesch
5)Alexandra Steele(Way too skinny though)
6)Cheryl Lemke (a lil older but still looks pretty.
My most annoying one is Nicole Mitchchell. Is it just me or she just looks too phony for my taste? Anyway your thoughts & have a goodnight & stay away from the heat. :)
Ladies are more than welcome to pick their top weatherguy .

I'm not giving my opinion. I want yours.

Is it occurring?

Is it caused by human activity?

If so, then what is the solution? Please be as detailed as possible.

Thanks.

Right now there is a terrible heat wave in the northeastern US. Temperatures of up to 104 F (30 C). In winter it can get to -2 F (-19 C). Plus, of course, there is humidity to make it feel hotter in summer, and wind chill to make it feel colder in wihter. I like that we have varied seasons here, and the extremes are not as bad as in other places, even in the US. I have friends in Arizona, and Minnesota, and they really get hit!

Which do you like least? I think on balance I like the heat less. You can always get under the covers in the cold, but you can't do much if it's too hot. As I age I like the cold less and less, though. And at least there's no snow to shovel, or ice to fall on! I need more insulation for my drafty old house!

Any comments? Thanks.

Will the increased demand for electricity in the northeaster US (due to the heat wave) cause us to lose parts of the power grid?

What are YOU doing to conserve energy.

(My computer operates on batteries.)
