The weather has always been crazy...just because people can't remember before their lifetimes doesn't change it. There were major floods of the Rio Grande in 1920 and 1925...well within "recorded history." I doubt it was normal weather which caused those.

I live in El Paso, TX, too. Yes, I agree with you. The weather is crazy now. We happen to be alive during a period of drastic climatic change; it is normal through history. I just read here a few moments ago that the last time the Rio Grande reached this level was 50 years ago. This was way before my time. If you live very close to the river, I would suggest you stay elsewhere for a little while just to be safe. Take care! :-)

Well you posted this under the wether forum, and you still got racist remarks, even though you made no attempt at mentioning illegal immigrants or the good ol' mexican people. Makes me think if this illegal immigration issues is just a blanket to cover up a racial issue. I would not know about the Rio Grande, but it's hot as hell here, i have to wait to get in the car so I won't suffocate, take care.

I would venture to say that it is probably nothing out of ordinary since these dams are all relatively new. It may seems crazy to the short time you have been observing it. It would mean nothing in a grandeur scheme of things.

I suggest you move away from the river as soon as possible. The river is still continuing to rise.

Boy, that is going to make it hard for the illegals to swim across. Better throw some ropes out for them.
