Hey,
I have a test tomorrow and I had a few last study questions on my review.

If you kknow the posistions of a particle at two points along its path and also know the time it took to get from one point to the other, can you determine the particles instataneous velocity? its average velocity? Explain.

How to calculate average speed from a displacement time graph

A bus travels on a northbound street for 20 s at a constant velocity of 10m/s. After stopping for 20s it travels at a constant velocity of 15 m/s for 30 s to the next stop, where it remains for 15s. Finally the bus continues north at 15m/s until it makes its last stop 20s later. What is the average veloctiy of the bus for this period?

the longest bicycle in the world was built in new zealand in1988. it is more than 20m in length. has a mass of 340 kg and can be ridden by 4 people at a time. suppose four people are riding the bike at a velocity of 12 km/h southeast when they realize that the street turns and that the bike wont make it around the corner. all four riders jump off the bike at the same time and with the same veloctiy (9.0 km/h northwest as measured relative to earth. if the combined mass ofthe riders is 260 kg, what is the ike's new velocity immediatly after the riders jump off?

A draw bridge over a river has two horizontal halves that raise when needed. In the raised position, each section is 40 degrees to the horizon. A car driver gets to the bridge in the open position. Wanting to clear the gap, the driver guns the car and leaves the ramp at 36 m/s. I figured out that the driver does clear the gap, but I also have to figure out where the driver lands on the other section of the ramp (cant seem to get it).

Thanks in advance.

racing motocross or flat track you can do a power slide thru lefthand turns. The same is not possible for right hand turns. What is the effect responsible for this and what is the law of physics that is involved

Hi,

A negative charge is contained by the cube in Figure Ex27.6 ( http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q208/infinitbelt/p27-06.gif ), in which E1 = 13 N/C and E2 = 22 N/C. The electric field is constant over each face of the cube.

Does the missing electric field vector on the front face point in or out? -I got this as it points in.

Here's the question I am having trouble with:

What is the minimum possible field strength?

I thought that it should be 8 NC as that would give -1 NC in the cube. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

i know it means that the voltages are different, but i dont really get it. A bird can stand on a wire thats has really high voltages and not get shocked because it has potential difference. what does that mean? does the bird has the same voltage as the wires?

Hi everyone.
I am trying to find a subject to write a 3-5 pages long scientific article about. The article will be published in the school science magazine and it really needs to be 'scientific'.
I think, time travel is a nice and broad subject but I'm not sure if it's really scientific.
Can you help me? What are your opinions?
