just as the question asks. I have no clue what I am talking about here but I want to see your thoughts. Is it possible to somehow manipulate the space around a space ship and somehow "trick" (for lack of a better word) space into thinking the ship had less mass then it truly has? (to move faster)

Is it possible to create a track for a space ship to dock with and gain momentum using solar energy. At the desired velocity, if the ship left its tracks would it not take alot less fuel to sustain that speed?

Could some properties of dark energy (if it truly exists) help us break the speed barrier? Would we have to discover how to freeze ourselves? Is there speed differentiations throughout space? Are there pathways in space that are connected through gravity, creating natural worm holes? Are blackholes capable of being wormholes? Do wormholes exist? Is there a way of jumping the folds of space? If we were to reach the speed of light, could we essentially jump those folds? Is it simply impossible to achieve those speeds? What's your thoughts and please include some sort of scientific data or web sites to verify that its a well founded opinion.

I know that elecromagnetic waves are generated when an electric charge oscillates in space. ( i.e. the vibrating electric field generates a magnetic field which then generates a electric field and so on .....producing a EM wave ).

My question :

is it possible to generate ( from scratch ) an EM wave from a oscillating MAGNETIC field source ( one NOT induced by an electric field ) ?

if so, please give an example of this.

serious answers ONLY please !

would it be a plausable form of transportation to simple be lifted into mid-air, sit there and have the earth rotate below you, by the earth rotating, could you be 100 miles away in an hour or so? Why do we not do this?

Atomic clocks left high in orbit around the earth have apparently slowed down. At such high speeds the clocks have been known to slow down. When brought back to Earth they are slower than they should be. Atomic clocks should remain accurate for millions of years. Also I've read that Astronauts living in space for a prolonged period of time are technically younger (I mean by fractions of millions of seconds but apparently this is true because of the massive speeds over such a long period). My question to you, is it true? I'm sorry if this sounds crazy but I read this recently and I was wondering if this is scientifically correct. Time travel has been asked about several times here and I'd like a professional opinion.
