milk have fat which pups out as bubbles resulting overflowing. where water is simple in this manner.

water doesn't contain anything else but water,but milk has water trapped in it and because of the differential in the boiling points the milk boils and exits out of the vessel

It has to do with milk being thicker. The bubbles in boiling milk don't pop as easily as the ones in boiling water, so you end up with a big pile of bubbles that fall over the side of the container.

yes I can.

milk is more fatty than water, so it's bubbles last a lot longer, resulting in this nasty foam.

Now go and clean the stove.
