C as originally developed was for creating operating systems for new processors and as such worked very close to the hardware. It was also very dangerous because it had almost no limits on attacking memory outside its assigned space.
Because it was almost always available early on new hardware, many applications were written in C that should not have.
Pascal was developed for enforcing on students a particular philosophy about how to program, such as limited scope of variables. Because so many students learned it, it became rather popular and was part of an influential movement. Several commercial programs were written in the various versions of it, including word processing and accounting.
Ironically, the principles expressed in Pascal were extended to other languages, such as Ada created for the Department of Defense, and C++ and Java which because of the other features of those languages, buried Pascal.

C is a much more powerful programming language developed specifically to support operating systems programming. Pascal was orginally developed to teach students programming principles and is typically easier to learn and use for that purpose.
No one would develop a commercial product in Pascal unless it was trivial.

What's the difference between the German language and the English language? Like Pascal and C, they're also two different languages with different rules of grammar, syntax, etc.,.

They are both programming languages. Although they do many of the same function, they use different syntaxes to accomplish these goals. Today, the more common language is probably C.
