I have been told that I have a large adenoma in the liver. Could this be the cause of two large rectal bleeds? Colonoscopies (2) both normal? Very tired all the time everything an effort. Can it be cured? Is it dangerous? ultrasound and CT scans show a mass which is suspected to be an adenoma now awaiting MRI but not really sure why? No-one is explaining anything and a lot of misdiagnosis so far. Am I able to ask to be transferred to another doctor in another hospital? Do not feel I am being taken too seriously no-one seems to feel that an explanation is called for! Consultant never reads my notes before I go in to see him and often is looking at tests conducted months ago. I would like to see someone else am I able to do this or am I stuck with this very rude man who has so little regard for his patients? I have no idea what is really going on and no-one will answer my questions. I am not a fool and I am very aware that something very wrong is going on not sure how wrong?

Since I was a teen (I'm now 27), I've had unexplained back and neck pain, headaches, muscle tension, and spasms. About a year and a half ago, the doctors figured it out after an MRI. They said I had varying degrees of damage (none really serious, but all problematic) in four cervical discs with moderate reversal of cervical lordosis.

It seems that the problem is congenital because my mother and both sisters have it to varying degrees. Physical therapy did not help significantly and was way too expensive for me to be able to do it long term.

What are my options for the reversal of lordosis? I know that the discs can improve with physio, postural training, exercise, chiropractic, and other treatments, but I suspect that orthotics or surgery may be the only hope for the curvature problem.

I ask that only medical professionals and those with direct experience with this problem respond.

say a cook with hiv cuts his finger with a knife and drops a single drop of blood into wet foods and a lukewarm soups, the soups areat very neutral temperatures. then the wet foods (non dry foods) and the lukewarm soups with fresh blood from the cook with hiv is served right away to customers. will the customers get hiv? they say that hiv in a single drop of blood outside the body will become impotent or will die if the hiv infected blood is outside the human body. they say that when blood dries up or when it clots as it is exposed to the outside environment, hiv will die. how will blood clotting or drying destroy or kill hiv? what if the hiv infected blood is dropped in soups or any other wet foods? how will the blood clot or how will that drop of blood dry up if it is dropped in wet foods and soups at very neutral temperatures? i have read from wikipedia that a single human cell is about 60 times bigger than a single hiv. come to think of it, imagine just 100 hiv within or among other 10 000 to 100 000 cells like rbc and wbc in a single drop of blood. how can external environmental factors penetrate into those 100 hiv among thousands of other cells? wont those other thousands of blood cells act as a barrier for external environmental agents to penetrate and destroy hiv? imagine food with a very fresh drop of blood infected with hiv be taken or eaten by restaurant or fast food customers.

I just finished a 7 day course of Prednisone 40my/day for back inflamation. I already have the fluid retention, weight gain, and full face from this short dose. Is this normal and will I return to normal soon. Also the doctor didn't wean me off this dosage, which I don't know is rare for short term use. My glands are swollen, and I can't sleep. Do I risk infection and will my body return to normal soon after discontinuation of this medication. Also will the pain reemerge again due to the short term use and not weaning off the medication?

I was recently prescribed Faktu ointment to control my anal itching. My question is, how should I apply this? It came with a tube (which I am pressuming should be inserted into the anal cavity) which I initially did not use due to my hesitation in having anything inserted into my butt. So... i opted to use it as a cream but when the itching did not stop, I took the risk of finally using the tube applicator however, the itching still did not stop. Am I appying it the right way?

In relation to my first question, I've had this anal itching for about a month already and have gone through a fecal test which came out negative. Could this itching be a side effect of my long term use of Montelukast (I was prescribed this tablet to control my asthma)? I've been taking Montelukast for about 6-7 months already.

A friend of mine claims it "soaked into her skin" but I rather don't believe her. There are several reasons I don't, but the main reason is that I feel almost positive that I've seen people play with mercury in their hands before and it didn't permeate their skin.

Does anyone know for sure one way or the other? Please don't guess, I've already guessed and I don't need the guesses of others.
