how do you find the worst case for keeping a zenor diode in breakdown. Which is the worst case below.
case 1: 11.2volts input, current 0A
case 2: 11.2volts input, current 100mA
case 3: 14 volts input, current 0A
case 4: 14 volts input, current 100 mA.

Also to calculate the max current throught the diode without exceeding its max power dissipation, Would i use the zenor voltage x the maximum regulator current. On the data sheet they list a test current and a maximum regulator current, which one do i use or what is the difference?

I am making a robot and I need some metal rod with a hydraulic hard chrome finish in 1/4" diamter.. or somewhere around 1/4". But I can't find it anywhere on the net. It would be ok if it was hollow too.. I want to run somekind of plastic sleeving on it.. or whatever material is frictionless and runs the smoothest.

Does anyone know where I can get this stuff?

Thinking of your answer that something else but for untrained people made me think of this option that the airoplanes has but in a larger scale.
I am wonder if anyone will think about to try to put in experiment something like that ...that will bring lots of extreme sport funs together.Ha-ha.

not parachutes, these would be more dangerous to untrained people, but something does need to be developed.

i think any solution will have some disadvantages as well,, such buildings are build with automatic system which would flash water or fire fighting powder and you can see these pipes all over the building,, so i think the fire problem is really sort out , but there are still some factors not detected as the capacity and emergency exits and time to evacuate these building before any disaster occur

I am making a robot and I need a metal round sliding portion. What is that metal and surface on like shocks that is ultra smooth.. I have seen it other places also where a metal rod is ultra smooth. I can't find the right name to do a search for it though. Is it chromed then machined or polished?

I have heard it is like trying to fly a full size conference room table upside down over the ocean at 200mph at a distance from the water that is the width of a dime. This without getting the table wet.

Recently, I watched an intruiging yet disturbing program on the discovery channel involving the tragic 9/11 tragedy. My mind desperately searched for inventive ways to safeguard and design new buildings. The next day several of my solutions were featured on a follow up program. Creating preventative architectural strategems are a passion of mine. I'm intuitive-creative but, I'm a realist and value process. What can I do to assist a company that values life and humanity over bottom line profit? Are there such organizations or companies? Would they value a person with my unique thinking style. My ideas are usually ahead of the curve, and my strengths are primarily language and making interconnections. Sometimes, geometry and imagination intertwine but, what good are ideas without a team or organization to see tangible results. Yes, I want to create a livelihood but, helping and humanity are my main concerns.

Many times I experience what is known as precognition. I'm a realist and need to 'verify' prior to reaching a conclusion. My expertise and technical 'know how' is limited. But, my creative inventions-solutions almost always appear on discovery. I'm an experienced language instructor and creative writer. Sometimes, geometrical shapes and inventive ways to utilize pre-existing technologies flash into my mind. How do I maximize my gift?
