look im also an ECE student and there are many scopes for it , u can join in any field . there are no restrictions . like u can join any IT company or any electronics company or any communications company like redpine or u can go for ARMY even these people are recruiting in large nos.
im embedded fied .
in VLSI field
MBA.
MS(any branch)
programming
networking
in short u can join the field of ur choice
where as it is not possible in any other branch

Hey dude, myself being a IT, i believe ECE is cool branch..... because u guys can enter:
1. S/w field
2.H/w field
3.Embedding
4.VLSI,research etc.....
Actually scope for ECE never ends....... It is not like IT which blooms seasonally.......
U guys can leap into any field...... Actually speakin in my college maximum of ECE's are placed in software companies....... So even sky is not the limit....... So relax........
