Ok, so NASA along with Russian help destoyed a Comet in 2005...it was the 1st time they had ever did something like this (I remember a russian 'psychic' went to court in Russia saying that the billion year old comet, if destroyed would hurt her ablities to predict....) anyway, the Governments of Russian and the USA said they did this.....I have searched trying to find VIDEO tape of this but none found so far, do you think the video is classified or I just haven't done a good enough search? Please HELP, I'd LOVE 2 see this video.

PS: This is REAL, not a fake question, it really happen, so help me out.

I got this forwarded email, and I'm wondering about its validity.

On Monday, 27 August 2007, there will be two moons
in the night sky. In addition to the earth's moon,
planet Mars will shine the brightest. It will
look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This
will happen on Aug. 27, when Mars comes within 34.65M
miles of earth. Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27
at 12:30 am. It will look like the earth has 2 moons!
The next time Mars comes this close is in 2287.

First they talk about the singularity, then they say some black holes are more massive than others. If it all falls into a singularity, how can the mass be different?

is it possible there are no galaxies in our line of sight, anymore? That the accelerating expansion of the universe puts us in an empty space, with just our galaxy at "reach"...
better still, that we're on the verge of the "great rip"?......

If you think that before Big Bang there was nothing in the Universe, no space, no vacuum, just nothing; what exactly is nothing? Before the first particle ever that got created in the Universe what exactly was "nothing"?

Note - This "theory" is based on the assumption that you travel faster than the speed of light. I KNOW IT'S NOT POSSIBLE. But I was just wondering IF it was possible...

Say you have this super massive telescope. Now, you travel much much faster than the speed of light to a far far planet and you take the telescope with you. When you get to the planet you see the Earth through the telescope. Theoretically wouldn't you be looking at the Earth that was millions of years ago? Since you have raced light to the planet you're at?

I know its crazy, but just a thought I had.

I believe they are 5 billion or so years old (correct me if I'm wrong). That's a long time, but do these galaxies still exist? The reason I ask is because our galaxy still exists, so it would seem that the other local galaxies would have to too. But 5 billion years old is a long time, is it not? Would galaxies have existed before our local ones and ours came to be?

Also, how far away is the furthest dust of our galaxy in terms of light years?

aliens are our desendants, we are their ancestors. Being that in order for them to travel from planets beyond our solar system would take light years, then time travel may be possible through the measurment of distance in time, therefor allowing them to look back at us/in time when we have sightings of UFO's. They are traveling back in time in theory, and we are their past.

It might sound crazy,but... could u send via e-mail photos you have taken with your telescope? I'm mostly interested in planet Venus which is very very close to Earth these days. But i would appretiate it if u could send me also 1-2 photos of a galaxy or another planet. I love astronomy but cannot afford an expensive world class telescope...

We live in Minnesota and heard that Mars will be so close to us that it will appear as though we have two moons on (I believe Aug 27th at 12:38AM) we need to know if it would be visible enough on the evening before to still get the same effect or will it only happen at that exact time? Does it change the time depending on where you live or can everyone all over the world see it at the same time?

what makes a comet go without stopping?

why is that the "voyager" hasn´t crashed yet ? there are a lot of bodies out there.

why is that the "pathfinder" used parachutes, airbags, and landed upright didn´t crash or landed sideways or upside- down, worked without obstacles, made holes on rocks with a drill and sent info about ? this is too much fantasy and personally I don´t believe it.
thanks for your time and answers. greetings from my country. !

why is that the pathfinder landed on mars using parachutes and airbags? there is no gravity there and even though with a fraction of gravity it doesn´t need parachutes to land. parachutes are to use the air as a way to help soften the fall, there is no air there.
what made it land upright? it had a drill too to make holes on rocks and send info to earth. there was no obstacles on its path either and it landed on a flat surface. what if it had landed crashing a small rock and placing it sideways or upside down?
I really don´t believe on this fantasy space craft. do you?
thanks for your answers, and again, greetings from México !
