How to get rid of internet addiction?

Hello im a student of high school .wud like to share that i'm a genious at all subjects . But have lately developed a very bad habit of internet addiction.I love searching pics of various things(flowers,babies actors ,actressesetc.),,I like orkutting,and I like watching **** as well(most horrible of all), I even chat. to be very precise wid all dis is ruining my studies and my aim of acheiving very high marks in boards is getting shattered.Please tell me proper ways to get out of all dis and concentrate on just one thing that is my "STUDIES.'

i too was in the same condition last year durin my 11 th. i used to stick on to the computer lik anything. the worst thing is orkuttin . so many people to know by n u hav lots n lots to search. and i have lotz n lotz of friendz even now. i was so addicted that i used to scream n shout at anybody who asked me to stop my pc . but then later after my 11 th i realised my mistake n took away the computer frm my room . disconnected the net for somedays , told bye to all my dear dear friendz .. stopped orkuttin for one year .. even for doin this it took me a weeks time . bcoz i had to inform all my online best friends . then finally i got rid of my pc. but still i was missin my friendz lik anything ... i was cryin for somedays for missin them . but then it all got fine .. now i am into my studies . n later wen i knew i am quite out of addiction to the internet i started comin online that too only for my project purpose and side by side i do all this work n chattin but not more then 2 hours wen i come online . i think wen u hav the determination to score marks u will find out a way out of all problems .... u just disconnect ur net n forget u have a pc . bcoz u are in high school u must know the importance of 11 th n 12 th . these two years will tell u wat u will be later . i wasted my 11 th . i feel real sad for that . sometimes i feel i should go back to my 11 th . but thats not possible , but i am happy i have my 12 th in my hands . if u think frm ur heart n talk to urself about wat is important for ur life n future u will know the way to get rid of any addiction . now that u have realised ur goal i guess u will be able to do it soon. remember . if u work hard for this two or one years u can enjoy all ur life . only two years of hard work now(if u are in 11 th ) if u are in 12 th only 6 months of hardwork . and u will find urself free n enjoyin all ur life time . if u waste ur time sittin on net n enjoyin time now later all ur life u will be mixed wid troubles sorrow and all that... itz all in ur hands choose wat u want..................... all the best for ur 12 th .....to score high ..... study well ... if u want me to be more specific about anything u can ask me in the same ....... tc ...........

If you are a genius at all subjects (and you're only in high school, too. erm...right...whatever), then you might want to research the psychology of addictive behavior on your own.

You might also invest in a dictionary, but since you are a "genious" you probably already have one.

ok its a foul habit. I had one too. Cracking my ft. So in simple terms bypass 21 days without the internet, except its existence or dying. bypass on it for reading and looking out college appropriate issues. in case you reside out of undesirable issues for 21 days you will forget approximately approximately it. have confidence me. And if that doesn't artwork block the undesirable web pages.

Hi! I would seriously consider having someone put locks on your computer, that way you won't be able to get on the computer, and you'll have more time on your hands to discover a new hobby.
