From some place beyond the solar system, a meteorite composed entirely of dark matter is headed sraight for the earth. It has a mass of 50,000 kg and is the size of a loaf of bread. Should we worry?

You can assume that dark matter has no interaction via the electromagnetism.

If it were possible to put an identical atmosphere of Earth's on Mars and Venus, would either one of them or both of them be habitable for humans?

Or would Mars still not be able to hold it because of it having so little gravity to keep it?

And would Venus just be too close to the sun still to be Earth like even with an identical atmosphere?

Just curious.

all the sightings so far have been on earth, not in the solar system or galaxy. Surely if something existed it would be visible outside of Earth and not just in the sky.

Say there is a number that is 4 digits. The middle two numbers are 10. So right now it looks like this : _10_. What numbers can you fill the blanks in with so the 4 digit number is divisible by 72. How many number arrangements like that can be made? If you don't get it ask, because I cant solve it myself. And don't tell me how to solve it because I know basically how. And don't tell me to do it myself because its not even my problem. Its my 10 year old cousins who goes to some special math school who needs it.

In other words do you think humans will have advanced far enough in terms of our technology and space travel that we will have found another habitable planet orbiting around another star to live on, and be already on it by the time the Sun expands far enough outward to where the Earth is not livable anymore?

I have a right quadrilateral (rectangle) of sides A and B.

I need to find the foci of an ellipse that will fit tangent to the center points of all four sides of the rectangle, using nothing but a compass and straight edge.

"Quickie Diagram"
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o248/Web_Eagle/fociproblem.gif

I suspect the answer will involve bisecting the sides, setting the compass equal to the diagonal of one of the quadrants, and then marking the longer center line from opposite edges.

BUT, I’m not positive, and on this particular project, I only get one shot. (This actually involves construction, where I will be drilling and cutting into a non-reproducible surface.)

Can anybody tell me clearly if I’m correct, or how else to find these foci? Best proof gets the points!

Thanks!

Any input would be helpful so I will know what to expect (please do not leave retarded answers that has nothing to do with the question or you will be reported). Thanks in advance!!!
