Mario Capecchi, Sir Martin Evans and Oliver Smithies.
They are all alive and they REALLY have contributed to science greatly. They were able to genetically modify mice manipulating stem cells. It is very important because mice are a model to study humans. Basically, all the advances n sciences that help humans health is thanks to the research done in mice...
