Please, educate me on the applications of terms like; tallest, highest, summit, sea-level, etc, as applied in this field.
What exactly does planet earth appear like in a simple example when you refer to the phrase; 'center of the earth'.
In my own idea of tallest / highest or any other term connected to it, i thought we are looking at the very first tip or point of touch on any part of the earth's surface whatsoever, if one descends vertically from the sky?
Now, given my own thinking as above, where (name of mountain etc) on earth is it highest?
I am yearning to go visiting, or is it 'summitting' the highest point on planet earth.
Thanks.

please explain to me using the power rule, how this answer is given:

d/dx (1/x) = d/dx (x ^ -1)

i don't understand how the x got in the front. is the x considered the n in the power rule equation:

d/dx (x ^ n) = nx ^ n-1

if x = tan@ + sin@, y = tan@ - sin@

prove x^4 + y^4 = 2xy(8 + xy)

I tried just sub in the equations but ended up with something weird like having to prove tan^2@ - sin^2@ = tan^2@sin^2@

can anyone show me the steps?

NOTE: This question is about the most posterior part of the brain.

I'm a bit confused. Some say that the myelencephalon and the medulla oblongata are one and the same, while some differentiate them as two different parts. Can anyone please clarify this for me?

From Wikipedia:

"The most precise estimate of the universe's age is 13.7±0.2 billion years old..."

and,

"...space itself appears to have expanded. This expansion accounts for how Earth-bound scientists can observe the light from a galaxy 40 billion light years away, even if that light has traveled for only 13.7 billion years; the very space between them has expanded. This expansion is consistent with the observation that the light from distant galaxies has been redshifted; the photons emitted have been stretched to longer wavelengths and lower frequency during their journey."

I always thought light was red-shifted because the source was moving away from us. If space itself is expanding, causing light waves to expand, then wouldn't our observational tool also expand, negating any observable difference? How do they know that space is expanding, rather than the object moving away? This is the first time I've seen this, can anyone clarify?

he always kills a human if he sees one. the san francisco zoo tiger was pure evil. he killed a 17 year old boy who posed no threat to him.

Then he severely mauled 2 other teenagers who too didn't pose any kind of threat to him.

And as if thats not enough, he then tried to charge at police and wanted to maul or kill them too.

the tiger was full of extreme cruelty and wickedness and its good he was shot down because he had no right to kill a boy who was only 17. he didn't even need to hunt, and was hand fed, yet he even tried to attack the hand that fed him.

why tigers are always so mean? why can't they just be gentle like goat or deer?

So, who knows if there is any intelligent life elsewhere in the Universe? But, is it possible that some intelligent beings somewhere at some point in the past built intelligent robots that can live forever, that may visit us at some point, or may have already visited us? It seems possible.

Okay, so since the end of September, I was diagnosed with Epileptic seizures (Simple-Partial to be exact).

I just checked my heart beats per minute, and it was 98. My normal is 55-60, and I don't know why mine is so high.

I was just getting into bed from a relaxed day. Didn't do anything crazy, and I didn't work out today or anything. Just about to get into bed and felt like checking my heart.

I wasn't fully asleep. With my seizures, they found the like...the seizure activity when I was asleep (I had a 4 day EEG done).

Could this be it?

I'm worried.

It may be the seizure activity, but I don't feel my seizure symptoms, and I wasn't asleep before I checked my heart.

What could this be?

I do have an anxiety problem, but I haven't felt anxious all day.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much, guys!

I had a dream that I was walking around on Saturn's rings. The funny thing was that I was able to see all the solar system. I could see all the stars in the universe. I had no problem breathing. The one planet I remember clearly seeing was Jupiter.
