If you had to see either a Wind Farm or a Power Station when you looked out of your window, which would you prefer?

And why?

This will get numerous thumbs down....but I am against windfarms, they are expensive, generate very little electricity, and of course if there is no wind, then you have to have alternative reliable generating power...they are not even pretty to look at....at least with a Power station you can build it in a valley.....wind farms have to be on top of mountains and are hard to hide.

Power station powered with methane.
Much smaller than a wind farm and produces more power. Would only obstruct part of the view.

A wind farm can stretch for miles and can be a real eyesore. No getting pictures of the sunset as the entire viewing angle from the window could be filled with towers and props.

I would prefer to see a nuclear power station, the only motion would be clean steam slowly rising from the cooling towers. There is something about the speed of those 3 bladed wind turbines that gives me vertigo or something. If they went a lot faster like old fashioned farm windmills it wouldn't bother me, but I suspect that would create noise up close.

A fusion reactor power station is the answer, unlimited clean energy, but that could be along way off. Wind power is inefficient unsightly expensive and cannot supply even a fraction of our power needs. I think that, at the moment, we have to go for fission. It is a proven technology and clean apart from the nuclear waste which is obviously a problem.

Neither, we are an island surrounded by strong tides, hydroelectric power must be an option.
In our area we have successfully opposed a massive windfarm as the monstroties would adversely affect the beauty of the landscape. One farmer has rejected £5m a year, over the next 5 years,to protect an area of outstanding beauty and historical importance.

a.) Safer, greener. b.) Wind turbines haven't replaced them because coal fired power stations have larger capacity to deliver power. 1200 MW > 1.5 MW
