Gravity will be more in Canada than at the equator.

Gravity is weaker at latitudes nearer to the equator(9.78m/s^2) and at poles it is stronger(9.83m/s^2)

Gravity will decrease with increase in altitude(mountain tops).

The Earth isn't a perfect sphere. It is slightly larger around the equator compared to going from the north pole through the south pole.
Gravity acts from the Earths center and as you get further away, the effects of gravity become weaker.

The gravity in Canada is only less than that of places closer to the poles than itself. However the gravity difference is really unnoticeable.
