My friend thinks he's all smart and tells me according to physics, playing an intense game of basketball for and hour requires more energy than running on a treadmill for and hour or swimming for an hour, he tells me its better and it requires more power. I know its not true, y do u get so much more exhausted while running and swimming then But he uses all these dumb equations. How do I say that running or swimming requires more energy, or power, or work or whatever physics term he wants to use.

Ok so I was in BJ'S reading the world record book and it said the highest temperature is believed to be infinite..which was the temperature during the big bang theory....So somehow the idea of infinite temperature does not seem like a logical concept. Or I just can't think logically....So can someone please break it down in a way which I can understand???????? thanksss

Hey, you ppl think by the year 2012-2014 there will be a mission to mars?

I heared in The Science Channel that they will be going before the year 2014 and in CNN hey also said it. Also i had a speaker at my school last year that works for NASA, and he said that by the year 2012-2013 they will be going to Mars no doubt about it. I bealive that they are, since we have the technology to get there already. And by the stuff ive seen and heard.

What do you think?

Okaii, i know this sounds silly, but me and my friend are having a serious problem with like a grade 2 question.
So heres the thing:
Altogether we both had 22 chocolates.
I had the odd numbers(including 1) and she had the even.
But when she was suppose to eat the 22d, she gave it to me.
How many did we each have?
Now, logically you would think the ratio is 10:12 but wouldn't that mean that i had TWO more then her? Because the difference between 12 and 10 is 2. But i only had one extra. If i hadn't ate one more, we'd have had the exact same amount. So that would mean i had one more.
But what every one is telling us is that i had 12. LIKE I SAID! THAT WOULD MEAN I HAD TWO MORE!
Wtf! This is a serious question as silly as it sounds, so please answer seriously.
Thanks!

I've found a gradient of -1 over 2/3 is this the same as 3/2 and if so why? I can remember something about having to convert the fraction when you get rid of the -1 to get 1 over but I'm not sure.

Thanks to anyone who can help, I'm preparing for a maths exam in a few weeks time.
