if you are asking what is half of two, and add two more, that would be 3.
If you are asking what is half of "two plus two" that would be 2.
since there are no commas or parenthesis, you have to do the divide first, then add two. So as stated the answer is 3.

So do you want the expected of what you'd get? Half of 2 + 2 or half of 2 + 3?
Expected value would be the average of half of 2 + 2 and of half of 2 + 3. Assuming there's an equal chance that the second number would be a 2 or a 3, there's an equal chance that the average is 2 and that the average is 2.5. Because of that, the weighted mean between them would be 1/2 (2) + 1/2 (2.5) = 2.25
That is, if I even understood the question correctly.

well half of 2 = 1 and 1+2=3. So the answer would be 3.

It depends on whether you mean (2 + 2)/2 = 4/2 = 2 or 2/2 + 2 =1 +2 = 3.
Impossible to know unless you write the expression in mathematical terms.

lets see, if it is:
1/2*(2+2)=1/2*4=2
if it is 1/2*2+2=1+2=3
the only way you would know which it is is if u wud be specific or give other clues.
well, actually, u cud say 2+2=22
and thus, the answer could be 1/2 of 22 which is 11, or 1/2 of 2 + 2 which is 1+2 which is 12.
