nasa has not factored in that the 2007wd5 will just nick mars throwing it into new orbit we are doomed well i thought of it first

It's not big enough to be a planet killer, but the suspense of waiting to find out the revised orbit will be fun.

No, even if it was to impact against earth it would only leave a crater like that at arizona (a kilometre or so wide). Enough to destroy a city, but not to eradicate all life on the planet. You also have to factor in the fact that if it were to glance mars it would lose velocity and be more succeptible to the pull of Mars gravity. Even were it to escape, it would probably end up as a minor moon.

I kind of suspect that NASA has taken into account WD5's close encounter with Mars in determining its future orbital parameters which show it as now danger to Earth. Also, a crater about 1/2 mile wide from any impact from WD5 can hardly be classified as a "planet killer."

With a diameter of less than 100 meters is is WAY too small to be a planet killer. If it hit a city, it would be bad, but if it hit an unpopulated area it would be no problem at all.
