"rkeech" is absolutely right. I am also a physician, and I'll not forget one man who kept taking increasing doses of Darvocet N100 until he developed acute liver failure and DIED. I was not the doctor who prescribed the Darvocet.
I was a consultant called in for bleeding due to liver failure.

I would not prescribe this pain med because I did not believe it worked. It's a large brightly colored tablet that looks impressive but does very little for pain in my opinion. I think the main benefit is placebo effect. That is my bias - - influenced heavily because I watched a man die from overdosing himself unintentionally.

DO NOT mess around with Tylenol (acetaminophen) - ESPECIALLY if taken with alcohol.
To be fair, I suspect there are some people who think this med works - and maybe it does work for some. BUT - it apparently does NOT help you, and that's what matters here. See your doctor and get another pain med before you continue increasing the Darvocet dose. So many people think Tylenol is a safe harmless drug. It is not.
The propoxyphene is like dextromethorphan in OTC cough meds - - a very weak narcotic like drug.

Darvocet is obviously not the right medication for you.

It will not work better if you crush it.

If two tablets are not working why would you think more would be any better? Each tablet contains 650 mg of acetaminophen (generic Tylenol) and you should not exceed 4,000 mg of acetaminophen in any 24-hour period. With three Darvocets, you're halfway there all in one dose!
