When I decide to move my finger, how does this decision (which is a "thought") get translated into the physical "action" of moving the finger? If you believe the thought itself is actually a physical entity (which thus "gets the physiological ball rolling"), then explain how the process of creating this physical thought works. In other words, how can my mere (non-physical) "will" set in motion a physical process?

Im halfway through to get my BS in Mechanical Engineering. My main focus would be The Automotive industry. But I seriously don't know what's out there waiting for me, is there anyone in here who is a mechanical engineering that can give me some aid to visualize the real deal. I have started to question whether i still want to be an engineer, I just keep losing my motivation :(

is there any hope for me: i have a 2.8 GPA and soon will be attending a Cal State University... is there still a bright future waiting for me? or not quite?...

seriuous answers will be greatly appreciated :)

The standard unit for mass is kilo
The standard unit for weight is Newton or kg.m/s2
Mass is not affected by the change of location of the object while weight is being affected due to change in gravitational pull.

A boat of mass 250 kg is coasting, with its engine in neutral, through the water at speed 3.00 m/s when it starts to rain. The rain is falling vertically, and it accumulates in the boat at the rate of 10.0 kg/hr.

The drag is proportional to the square of the speed of the boat, in the form F_d= 0.5 v^2. What is the acceleration of the boat just after the rain starts? Take the positive x axis along the direction of motion.
Express your answer in meters per second per second.

I had a very frightening experience the other night as I was about to drift off to sleep. I believe I encountered some sort of ghost or spirit in my room that attempted to make physical contact (more detail later). While I understand that it may have been a dream, I feel strongly otherwise.

I did a bit of research on spirits and also dreams of this sort but came up with nothing conclusive. I'd really like to be able to find out who/what it actually was and if I have anything to worry about. I've heard that spirits can't harm you, but the whole experience has really disturbed and upset me and I'd like to be able to find out just for my own peace of mind.

Wouldn"t a male have to be YY (which of course is not possible) to be 100% male?

I know that female is the default sex, and that for the first few weeks in the womb all are female to start with. Basically are all males bisexual because all are part female anyway?
