closest confirmed 'solar system' would be epsilon eridani, about 15 light-years away

Assuming "solar systems to be common", which they are, then the closest would probably be found at approximately 4.22 light years away in the constellation of Centaurus.

That is a distance, of 32.92 x 10^12 km from Earth.

Its nothing to do with the Andromeda Galaxy. There will be planets in our own galaxy, much "closer" to home.

There seem to be planets orbiting the suns in the Alpha C. system a bit over 4 light years away.

scientists aren't sure about that but the next galaxy closest to us is the Andromeda Galaxy, which is suprisingly moving towards our own galaxy and in about 10 milleniums they will both clash and explode
