I have always wanted to know the answer to this question, perhaps some of you engineers or builders out there can answer it. When building a very large or tall building, cranes are often perched on top. How do they get the crane up there and how do they move it to the top of each level as it gets higher. More importantly, how do they get the crane down once the building has finished? It can't be from another crane as none would be that tall....

The shape of the surface of water in a bucket is determined by the condition that the potential energy per unit mass, as determined in the frame in which the water is at rest, is constant at all places on the surface. Assume that the bucket is into rotation at an angular speed w about its vertical central axis and that the water rotates with the bucket. Write a formula that gives the shape of the water surface. (Hint provided by the book: Note that the normal force of the liquid must account for the centripetal acceleration).

I think my mom and I are physic... could this be true? My dad has had 2 frinds who have died of mtorcycle accidents... one happened right in front of him. Both times I have had depression, feeling of death, and horrible stomache aches, without any knowledge of the accidents. the second time when it happened infront of my dad I felt those feelings at the exact moment it happened (about 1pm)... the strange thing is I couldn't have known about it.. I was in Boston! (it happened in Cali), both people who died I had no connection too, I never met either of them. My parents and I visited a Ghost town called Calico and went on a tour at ngiht in a graveyard... I also felt feelings of death, sickness, and it smelled very badly... my mom and I were at the very back of the group near some graves (unmarked) and no breeze, and nothing was behind me (I looked) but their was a gentle pushing as if someone was trying to push me forward to listen to the guide. I had a thick jacket on... continued...
