If a stone is thrown vertically upward from the surface of the moon with a velocity of 5 m/s, its height (in meters) after t seconds is h = 5t - 0.83t^2.
(a) What is the velocity of the stone after 1 s?
v = m/s

(b) What is the velocity of the stone after it has risen 5 m?
v = (smaller value)
v = (larger value)

Arguments

P1 - The Universe is everything that is.
P2 - Everything that is cannot be smaller or larger than itself. Because everything is not realtive to anything.
P3 - Therefore the Universe could have never been infinitely small, nor can it be expanding.
Conclusion - Big bang theory is false

P1 - Things that grow larger, expand into something.
P2 - If the Universe is expanding - Then it must be expanding into something.
P3 - It cannot be expading into empty space - because space is part of the Universe. It cannot expand into nothing, because nothing does not exist.
Conclusion - The Big bang theory is false

P1 - Scientists say that time was created at the Big Bang. Therefore there is no "Before" the Big Bang.
P2 - Big Bang caused the Universe then it was casually realted to the Universe.
P3 - Casuality runs in both directions. Before an after.
P4 - Therefore if there is no before the big bang there can be no after the big bang.
Conclusion -Big Bang theory is false

Hi to all

It's been a while since I have done maths!

How do you expand and simplify?

e.g. 2(3x+4) - 3(4x-5)

Is the answer 18x-15??

Or do you take away the x's instead of adding??

Thankyou

In extreme weather on a ocean of liquid volume the hydraulic pressure coming in waves, against the haul of a ship can rip apart the greatest of ships in extreme weather conditions.The ocean floor design in the Burmuda triangle when the weather gets bad is contributer to this washer effect. ( Hydraulic pressure is one of the greatest energy forces on this planet.)

the problem is , simplify the following statement :

(p v r ) --> [ (q v (~r) ) --> ( (~p) --> r ) ]
what i did was , first the right hand side:
[ (q v (~r) ) --> ( p v r ) ] ( because ~p-->r is equivalent to p v r)
[ ~ (q v (~r) ) v ( p v r ) ] ( here i used the same logic rule)
[ (~ q ^ r ) v ( p v r ) ]
then
( p v r ) --> [ (~ q ^ r ) v ( p v r ) ]
then i used the equivalence p --> q == ~ p v q
in which p is ( p v r ) and q is [ (~ q ^ r ) v ( p v r ) ]
~ ( p v r ) v [ (~ q ^ r ) v ( p v r ) ]
(~p ^ ~ r ) v [ (~ q ^ r ) v ( p v r ) ]
then i get stuck in here :
(~p ^ ~ r ) v (~ q ^ r ) v ( p v r )
i cant use associativity law for r because i see different logic operators
what can i do ?
