What is the safe distance for living near overhead high voltage electricity power lines? I want to purchase a piece of land (to build a house) and noticed an overhead high voltage electricity line (110 kv) about 80-100 meters away. Is this distance safe for living near that line?

I THINK i've had a few experiences, once i woke up at 2am when to the bathroom, then back in my room and looked in the mirror (lights were off) and i thought i saw a figure beside me, i blibked and there wasent anything so i didin't think much of that, one time i was watching tv on my bed and it felt as if someone was playing with my leg hair and rubbing my back, only once have i hear my name be called but no one was home, my cat was staring in a corner over my bamboo plant (coincidence my cat that was staring in the corner is completely black with green and blue eyes) and the plant was withered so i grabbed my english-japanese dictionairy and through it where my cat was looking, maybe spirits are atracted to me because i hate the bible and don't believe in god or jesus those three word **** me off and anoy me, but i'm not a satanist, i believe a bit in spirits but i don't belive that there's 2 nice dudes in the clouds and a badass dude in our planet's core

the random variable c is the population of cities larger than 1000. the distribution is called pareto distribution and its CDF is 1-1000/x

1) calculate the chance that the city would have a population less than 10000
2) given that the city has a population of more than 15000, what is the chance the population will be more than 20000

2) a diamond given it is an ace (standard deck of cards)

the answer my professor gave us was
1) 4/52
2) 13/52

A recent article I got from a "believer" friend claimed that meteoric dust within a crop circle "prooves" that it can't be a hoax. (no where in this "scientific" article did the author show that he sampled soil away from the crop circle as a control group). I'd like to use this example to educate him about scientific methods vs. psuedo-sci methods.
