No, NASA Cares about your Care bears.
They couldn't "bear" let anything happen to it.
They wouldn't dare!
the band won't even tear.
It would make the trip pretty fair.
It wouldn't even cinge a hair.
If you had two it would not hurt the pair.
If something did happen it would be very rare.
So on the shuttle its something you could definately wear.

This has been a hotbed of discussion within the scientific community for over twelve years. The majority of leading scientists point to the fact that Care Bears appear to be invincible which foregoes any pre-supposition that they would have an ionic structure which is necessary to maintaining a magnetic firld in the first place.
However, there is a growing faction within New Age Science that proposes that like attracts like (ignoring the fact that this is not true at all) and because all things associated with the Care Bears are filled with care, those things are likewise full of happy, fluffy love. And we all know that love cannot be demagnitized.
So, we are left with a conundrum: Is it that space being empty except for quantum flucuations would remove any residual magnetism remaining in a Care Bear watch or, following the Paradox of Xenos, one could never approach a Care Bear watch to make the observation needed to determine the truth of the matter?
Sorry that I couldn't be of more help. Even science has its limits.
