My mother had a dream that a man was driving a red motorcycle and collided and died. The next day my uncle was out driving his red motorcycle and he collided and died. My mother also dreamed my father's death and the next day he died the exact same way she dreamed it. Also, the other day I was watching AMERICA'S PSYCHIC CHALLENGE on Lifetime. They had this guess which phone would ring game for before the commercial break. She guessed 2 and when the show came back on they announced 2 was the phone. My nana (her mom) believed she talked to her dead friend on the telephone once. Creepy. Is it just coincidencial or is she psychic?

Hey, just looking for some information or a website that will either support or diminish the theory that a aeroplane (namely a large airliner) will glide after the engin's have cut out? I;m not sure weather it will or not but jusrt my train of thought concludes that it should glide atleast reasonably? Any help to support this or demolish it would be great..
Thanks

Pyroclastic flow from violent volcanic eruptions is known to be able to traverse vast distances across the ocean. My theory is that this is achieved via an effect similar to pouring liquid nitrogen onto living tissue except in reverse... upon contact the extreme heat levels of the pyroclastic flow vapourise the surface water into super heated steam creating a cushion along which the flow can ride. Eventually this cools with progresion along the ocean surface leading to the termination point of the flow. At this point the effect is insufficient to support the flow and the volcanic cloud collapses into the ocean.

What do you volcano experts out there think? Fact or myth? If not true please suggest a more educated theory.

1. Two boats start out 800 miles apart with boat A directly to the west of boat B. At the same time both boats start moving with boat A travelling to the east at 40mph while boat B travels north at 20mph. Determine if the distance between the boats is increasing, decreasing, or not changing after the following travel times: (a) 7 hours (b) 16 hours (c) 25 hours

2. I attempted to break apart their distances travelled by using component vector analysis. The distance between the two boats is the hypotenuse of whatever triangle they produce on the graph at a certain time. We want to find d'.

3. d'=? I park boat A at origin, therefore its cartesian coordinates are (0, 0), so boat B must be at (0, 800)

For part (a) I use vector components: A in x-direction: 400(7)=280 x-direction
A is (280, 0) B is (800, 140)
Base distance is 800-280=520 Height is just 140, how do I proceed to find h' ? Similar triangle don't work bcuz boats have diff. rates.

The mayans predicted that the world would end on december 21 2012, and it turns out there's gonna be an eclipse on that exact date. Could they be getting at something? Although i've heard that they didn't actually say the world would end, but its just the end of a period of time on the calendar. is that true?

Also, how would I be able to (easily) remember what it stands for? I know I can look it up in my book or my notes again, but that hasn't helped me remember it obviously, so I'm hoping this does.

After my uncle died 4 years ago, I would write him medium sized letters. In my sleep he would reply to them. I never told anyone. I thought it was just a dream. Then about 5 months ago on Oprah they did a special on EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) & talking with the dead. I was like "OMG! I'm not crazy!" and I googled it and listened to people's EVPs. So I set up a recorder infront of my dad's um. I replayed the tape and forwards it read, "I tried to get up." Backwards it reads, "I love you, pumpkin." AND IT SOUNDS JUST LIKE HIM! Then about 2 months ago I made a darkroom downstairs in a room in our basement. I had to move my Grandpa's fishing gear. Well, the next day I go down there the fishing stuff had been moved to the original spot. My mom never goes into that room. She only goes downstairs to do the laundry. I set up my recorder and sure enough my grandpa left a message calling out my mom's name over and over again. Has anyone else ever encountered EVP or stuff?
