My mother had a dream that a man was driving a red motorcycle and collided and died. The next day my uncle was out driving his red motorcycle and he collided and died. My mother also dreamed my father's death and the next day he died the exact same way she dreamed it. Also, the other day I was watching AMERICA'S PSYCHIC CHALLENGE on Lifetime. They had this guess which phone would ring game for before the commercial break. She guessed 2 and when the show came back on they announced 2 was the phone. My nana (her mom) believed she talked to her dead friend on the telephone once. Creepy. Is it just coincidencial or is she psychic?

These dreams of hers that occur and come true happen randomly. We also have no idea on how to even go about starting a psychic business and have no intentions to. She is a hardcore skeptic and just believes her dreams are coincidential.

I Think they would be called Prophetic Dreams, every one has them from time to time.

I too have dreams in advance. Usually I don't realize what they mean until they happen. I have predicted deaths, 9/11, Bell Harbour.... these are random forecasts. I got the plane crash insights exactly 24 hours in advance. The deaths, one was while it was occuring, and the other 3 days before. I also wrote dreams down in a diary, to the date 5 years before it happened, the entire sequence of events surrounding my mothers death. i could not make money off of this as it is too random and if I try to make it happen I do little more than intuitively guess. Things just come to me. I stink at guessing what card the picture is behind all together.
If you ask me I think that your mom is very psychic, randomly, or on a need to know basis.

I believe true psychic phenomena to be rare, but I believe they occur. If your mother told you about the red motorcycle before the event, that would be way beyond chance or coincidence. Knowing that there is no attempt to make money makes a story like this more believable.

Hello. Just caught up with your interesting questions on this site. I am a Spiritualist psychic Medium. All of us are psychic to a point. In the case of your mother, she is having pre-recognitive dreams. What's that you may ask? It's a belief that many of us Astral travel, forward and backward, see the event, then correctly dream the sequence. I believe that. What you need to do is make a detailed account and how many times it happens. We dream sometimes several dreams at once, what we call Telescoping. We have to seperate the events out. There is of course the law of ratio. We can have hits which make it look as if we are using a psychic power. You could of course test your Mother with a pack of Zenner cards. But even these will only confirm her ability to a point. I for instance score poorly with the cards, but have been a reasonably successful psychic for nearly 30 years.Check out ARE-Cayce. com Anything else you'd like to know? Why not e-mail me?

I sure hope it's not true..that your dreams come true. One time I had a VIVID dream of HUGE space ships coming in and out of the clouds.LOTS &LOTS of them. I sure don't want that dream to come true. It was a few years ago..so maybe I'm free and clear of it. I also had a dream where I was falling inside a building and said "It must be an earthquake"..the next day I remembered the towers and wondered if that's how somebody in there felt at that time.I would really worry if I had a dream like that (premonition) ....I would feel like I caused it to happen just by having a dream about it. I don't want to have any dreams like that..ever!!

Most psychic stuff is plainly nonsense or just fun and games or a tool to make money with and therefore can quickly be discounted as rubbish.
I think however there is at times some truth to it.
I remember a news item recently about this cat that lives in a resthome with the frail and elderly. When this cat goes up to the person and sits on their bed etc then they end up dying a few days or so later. The cat has always been right.
In fact staff at the resthome believe the cat is so reliable that they call friends and relatives of the person who the cat sat with to say that they expect the person to die soon and that they should consider paying them a visit as soon as possible.

I have experienced the same kind of thing on three occasions. I think the story is true but it cannot be repeated upon demand to for example open up a psychic business. Perhaps the "Seth Speaks" (Jane robert's) model of reality has some truth in it to explain these kinds of things. Maybe it is just all chance but for those with very vivid experiences, they don't think so. Since these things are not repeatable, scientific investigation has gotten nowhere with these things.

I bet your mother didn't tell you about her dreams until after the deaths occurred. That's how most "psychic" phenomena manifest themselves--through hindsight.
She guessed 2? What was the possible range?

She might have just normal mothers intuition. A lot of people can feel things like this about loved ones and family.

Psychic abilities appear to normally distributed in the population. So she is psychic, so are you and others to some extent. However, the ability to learn to play (and actually) play a piano will not make me the next Mozart.
I have included the links to two web sites for you below that give people the ability to record their premonitions/dreams so they can have verification.
I have also included the web site for the Parapsychological Association which has links to online games/tests for a variety of psi abilities.
