What are these two things?

1. On the upper right of the ascent stage aft panel, inboard of the RCS thrusters, the helical, cone-shaped thing, like a little Christmas tree.

2. Same thing as #1, but on the front panel, inboard of the upper corner of the commander's window. In the third picture, it's casting a clear shadow onto the front panel.

3. On the lower left of the ascent stage aft panel, it looks like a hot dog bun stuck to the skin. I thought it might be a patch, but they all have it.

Suppose the real valued function f is Riemann integrable, but not continuous, over [a,b]. Then, does there exist some c in (a,b) such that f(c) = [Integral (a^b)f(x) dx]/(b -a)?

I tried to prove this based on the fact that the set of discontinuities of f in [a,b] has Lebesgue measue 0, but couldn't come to a conclusion yet.

Hi! Here's an example of what I mean:

3^x = 2^(x-1)

I took the log of each side, yielding:

log 3^x = log 2^(x-1)

OR:

x log 3 = (x-1) log 2

But what do I do from here?!?!?!? PLEASE HELP! I'll pick a best answer TODAY!

Sigma (1 + sin n^2)/ sqrt n , n = 1, to 00

Does this series converge or not?

I am stuck on this one and I am not convinced of the previuos answer so I ask again hoping there are more mathematicians online. Thanks in advance.
Does the comparison test work here? If so, what is the inequality.
I know -1 < = sin n^2 < = 1
0 < = 1 + sin n^2 < = 2
making our an < = 2/ sqrt n, but that is useless. I am trying to get a uselful comparison, can someone help?

Take a 100g bar (or other size perhaps) remove the tear-away section and extract the chocolate. Enjoy its chocolatey richness (or whatever else one might do with it.) Then, put the open end of the prism of cardboard in your mouth and suck. The far end flap vibrates, making a pretty good duck quack sound. Very loud too. My Fruit & nut carton makes a more muted sound.
