apparently, thst happened to my friend but i don't see how it's possible..

You get a cold burn. It occurs because the salt lowers the temperature of the ice/water mixture that is created when the ice starts to melt. Water is an excellent conductor of heat to your hand. The very, very cold water thus created sucks heat out of your hand and causes frostbite.....much quicker than pure ice would have.... so you get a burn.
