.Hello,
I am intrested in paranormal investigating. I know that there is a legitimate science of parapsychology but most people I heard study psychic ability.

How long does it take to do this?

hello,

I am in high school and I wanna study wireless communications in college. I have a very stupid question to ask.
I understand the electromagnetic spectrum and the frequency range that each type of wave occupies, but what is the amplitude of each type of these waves ? ( radio, microwave, xray, etc). Also, are these supposed to be sine waves, square waves, triangular waves ? According to fourier theorem, I understand that square waves and other nono-sinusoidal periodic waves can be written mathematically as a bunch of harmonically related sine waves, so when we talk about 95MHZ wave, are we talking about sine waves ?
Also, why r we running out of space since for example, in 95 mHZ range, one radio station can have 95.111 Mhz and 2nd?radio station can be at 95.112 and the third at 95.113 ?
please excuse me if my questions sound so stupid or if i m not asking the questions right.

1) from point Pon the parabola x^2=2y a tangent is dran. From focus (S), a perpendicular is drawn to meet the tangent at R
a) find the equation of SR
b) find the locus of R

2) Show that the locus of the mid-ponts of chords in the parabola x^2= 4ay which passes through the vertex is the parabola x^2=2ay
(for qn. 2 I can do it if instead of the locus passing through the vertex, you ony consider focal chords but for this one I'm stuck)

I have a go-kart with 8" rims. It weighs 300 lbs without the motor. If I wanted to turn this into an EV, how powerful of an electric motor would I need? Would 7 hp be enough? I want it to be really powerful. How many car batteries would I need to power the motor for 3 hours considering I will be driving it pretty fast most of the time.

What the hell is it? I live in Oregon and last night a huge large brown beetle which made a musical like scream, (creepy) flew through my room bouncing off the walls into her room. LOL and at first I didn't see it until my daughter hunted it down cause it was in her room.lOL And when I saw this thing it was screaming because my wienner dog was trying or atleast thinking about tackling it, but after I saw thing I chased her away from it, I caught it and threw it out. But very curious to know what it was for I have never seen or heard noises like that before.

Remember the little fish which stopped the construction of an important dam? Many species of animals became instinct over a peiod of illions of years, the dynasaurs for instance, and it didn,t seem to affect the envornment any. can anyone imagine if ptyroductils were still flying around>

Hi there,

Can anyone tell me or give me a link on how an automatic car park machine works? where a person takes a card initially and then he pays for the parking fee at a nearby booth (paying and inserting the card), and finally he needs to return the card on leaving the gate.

I dont really understand the basics behind it and how does it manipulates the card to indentify the user..

For example: A piece of flat metal measuring 5 x 5 feet and secured to the fron of a car. At 0 speed, what is the pressure on the face of the plate? I guess it's atmospheric, correct. But then the car starts rolling 10, 20, 30,....60 miles per hour. What is the pressure on the plate as the car accelerates towards 60MPH?

I understand that there are wonders being discovered in astronomy and space exploration but up to this point I don't see much that could help survival of mankind. Does anyone have any idea how far a billion light years is? And who cares if there's another black hole in the universe. The money that was spent for the trip to the moon could've been better used to find cure for cancer or the commone cold.

On the other hand, the seas can be a great source of food. Should'nt we concentrate instead probing the depths of the ocean and studying its inhabitants for possible unlimited source of food.

I am under the impression that many little earthquakes...2.2 here...a couple months later a 2.6..a couple months later a 4.1...for example means pressure is being relieved. But could it also mean a much larger quake is coming?
