Torque is to force as moment is to mass.

Just as the mass determines how much force is needed to move the thing - the moment of inertia determines the amount of Torque necessary to twist the thing.

A torque is simply a twisting force. When you unscrew a cap from a bottled drink, you are exerting a torque.

A moment is just another word for a torque, more common in engineering fields.
