I understand that there are wonders being discovered in astronomy and space exploration but up to this point I don't see much that could help survival of mankind. Does anyone have any idea how far a billion light years is? And who cares if there's another black hole in the universe. The money that was spent for the trip to the moon could've been better used to find cure for cancer or the commone cold.
On the other hand, the seas can be a great source of food. Should'nt we concentrate instead probing the depths of the ocean and studying its inhabitants for possible unlimited source of food.
