We're told to get naked and use the emergency shower located in the middle of the lab if we catch fire or spill a chemical even if it is minor. I'm just interested to see if anyone has or would actually do this.

A. Which of these can be safely recharged
B. Which of these provide a constant voltage?
C. Which one of these can provide useful voltages to common electronic devices while still being the smallest and the most lightweight?
D. Which of these has easy replaced reagents, allowing the same device to be used for years?

1) If the linear transformation T: R^n --> R^n is one-to-one and T(u-v) = 0, then u = v (u and v being vectors and 0 being the zero vector).

2) If the linear transformation R^n --> R^n is onto T(u-v)=0, then u=v (u and v being vectors and 0 being the zero vector).

3) If det(A) = 0, then T is neither onto nor one-to-one.

4) If T: R^n --> R^m is not one-to-one, then ker(T) contains infinitely many vectors.

5) Shears in R^2 are one-to-one linear operators.

1.a physics student lifts her 2kg pet rock 2.8m straight up. He then lets it drop to the ground. Use the Law of Conservation of Mechanical Energy to calculate how fast the rock will be moving (a)half way down and (b)just before it hits the ground
2.A 65kg girl is running with a speed of 2.5m/s. How much kinetic energy does she have? She grabs on to a rope which is hanging from the ceiling, and swings from the end of the rope. How high off the ground will she swing?
3.How much kinetic energy will the 80kg skier sliding down the frictionless slope have when he is 2/3 of the way down the ramp? The vertical height of the ramp is 60m.
4.A rubber ball falls from a height of 2m, bounces off the floor and goes back up to a height of 1.6m. What percentage of its initial gravitational potential energy has been lost? Where does this energy go? Has the Law of Conservation been violated?
5.How much work must be done to increase the speed of a 12kg bike ridden by a 60kg from 8.2m/s to 12.7m/s?

Do you believe there is a way around relitivity, will a sufficiently advanced culture one day find a way to transverse the space between the stars faster then light?

Remember, 200 years ago most educated people would sware up and down that a heavier then air vichael could never fly, that the sound barrer would never be broken, etc.

Granted, some will say these are mechanical problems and the light barrier is a matter of physics... However, what are the laws of physics but high-end mechanical problems?

Space itself can expand faster the light--Does that not imply a possibile back door around this restriction?

Also, keep in mind what we KNOW of physics is far from everything.

Opinions...

Ok undoubably I'm going to debunked for this theory but what the hell..so here goes..so you can give your opinion.
my theory is this a black begins as a super massive star that has burned up all its energy but before the final supernova there is a very dense central object. rotating at very high speed upon the final supernova this energy speeds this central core to faster than light. its outer surface is moving faster than light but getting slower as it reaches each pole.
now if the object is travelling faster than light it will have a tendency to rip the fabric of the universe thus creating a gap between it and the outside universe except closer to each pole of object where the surface is moving slower at these two points energy will be released the reason why we cant see light is that light needs a medium to travel same as sound or throwing a peeble in a pool take away that medium and light cannot escape. there are no wormholes just a very sold object in our universe.
