Provided there is no presence of contraindications such as gastrointestinal ulcers, hopefully you will have an initial relief of any acute pain. Why have you taken it by the way? If you have any condition prompting to take it, it would be better if you had consulted a doctor.
Anyway, for an acute painful conditions the FDA recommends550 mg as a starting dose followed by 550 mg every 12 hours or 275 mg every 6 to 8 hours,as required.
The initial total daily dose should not exceed 1375 mg . Thereafter, the total daily dose should not exceed 1100 mg.

Well, if you are taking it for some pain I would hope it would relieve that pain. Naproxen is Aleve's generic name. Aleve is packaged in 200 mg tablets so 550 mg is like 2 1/2 pills.

Naproxen Sodium Pills are for arthritis pain and inflammation. Wow sorry to hear that the Imitrex didn't work, I thought that was supposed to be the miracle drug for migraines. You should ask the doctor if there is anything else you can take, prescription wise. I have heard that Excedrin works for migraines, you might want to try that. I don't know that the Naproxen Sodium would do anything for a migraine. I used to take Naproxen and it really don't do much for the arthritis either. It's kind of a weak drug.

Taking two isn't a lot different from taking one. There's a plateau effect, so if you're doing this on any kind of semi-regular basis, you're opening yourself up to a greater risk of adverse effects while doing yourself little or no extra good compared to the regular dose. More is not always better, especially with NSAID's.
