Can someone please explain these two Algebra problem to me 7t over 12 = -14 and the other one is?

Question 1
7t / 12 = - 14
7t = - 168
t = - 24

Question 2
s / 3 + 7 / 9 = 4s / 3
3s + 7 = 12s
9s = 7
s = 7 / 9

t= -24
s= 7/9

7t/12 = -14
multiply both sides by 12
7t=-168
divide both sides by 7
t = -24

1/3s + 7/9 = 4/3s
subtract both side by 1/3s
s= 7/9
