Kingfishers most often dive into the water parallel to the rays of the sun; that is, they dive in from the East in the morning and from the West in the afternoon.

My boyfriend and I were riding down the road last night to see some friends and I noticed that the moon was very large and a very deep orange color. I commented on how pretty it looked and he said it was a lunar eclipse. I laughed and explained how certain gases in the atmosphere make it appear that color when it's that low on the horizon and appears that large (I love astronomy). He stood by his argument saying it was a lunar eclipse. I told him eclipses only happen twice a year and it's not quite time yet for another one.

Can you help clear this up for me?

Nothing makes me more angry than some lazy kid who refuses to learn what is being taught to them in their classes and then they expect us to give them all the answers so they can go back and ace their class even though they are still clueless and ignorant. This is so wrong! How do you expect to get anywhere in life if you refuse to learn and use your brain? Those of us who are giving them the answers are NOT helping these kids. We are hurting them by not allowing them to learn anything and we need to stop.

1. A circular disc is rotated about an axis O through its center by the application of two forces. A force of magnitude 11 N is exerted at a distance of 0.34 m from the axis and at an angle of 58° from a radial line extending from the axis through the point of application Q of the force. A second force of magnitude 15 N is exerted at a distance of 0.26 m from the axis and at an angle of 119° from a radial line extending from the axis through the point of application P of the force. Determine the net torque on the disc about its center and which way the net torque accelerates the disc.
